In an exciting announcement for Garba lovers, the Gujrat Government has revealed that the Navratri celebration can now go on without time restrictions, allowing enthusiasm to dance through the night.
Gujrat’s Minister of State for Home Affairs, Harsh Sanghvi, shared this thrilling update on social media: “As Navratri approaches, devotees are ready to embrace the energy and devotion of Maa Amba. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, we’ve made special arrangements so that garbage can continue late into the night. Police have been instructed to ensure the celebrations are enjoyed enthusiastically across the state.”
Sanghvi also urged Garba participants and organizers to be mindful of noise levels, particularly in nearby hospitals, to avoid disturbing residents.
The State Government has assured that all preparations are in place for a seamless and joyous Navratri, which will be celebrated from October 3 to October 12.
Here Guidelines issued by Gujarat Police:
- Adequate lighting is mandatory across party plots, garba grounds, parking and Dark-light places, CCTV cameras must be installed in shops.
- Playing Garba wearing transparent or revealing clothing is prohibited. Along with this, no person will be able to carry bags or other items in the Garba Place.
- Strict legal action will be taken against the Romeogiris.
- Garba places need to have separate gates for entry and exit.
- Organizers should ensure that there is no traffic jam for 200 meters on either side of the Garba venue and that parking is unobstructed.
- Report suspicious vehicles to the police immediately.
- Planners to finish Certificate of Electrical fitting and fire safety arrangements.
- Parking arrangements at the Garba site are to be handled by volunteers/Security personnel. On-street parking is Prohibited.
- Organizers to conduct anti-vandalism checking by private security.
- Not to distribute passes or tickets over program capacity.
